Yellow Toucan Substitute

Feather

Description

Bright lemon-yellow feather used as body veilings on the original Jock Scott and as accents on other full-dress salmon flies. Real toucan (Ramphastos spp.) is protected; the standard substitute is yellow-dyed swan or goose shoulder, sized small and selected for a clean, square tip that lies flat against the body.
