Black Floss

Fine silk floss in deep black. Front-body material on Jock Scott and many full-dress Atlantic salmon flies. Wraps to a smooth dark body that contrasts cleanly with palmered hackle and bright ribbing. Modern rayon floss is an acceptable substitute, though silk holds a deeper, less plastic-looking finish.
