Description

Small bright orange-red feather used as a tail veiling and accent on classic salmon flies including Jock Scott, Durham Ranger, and Popham. Real Indian crow (Coracias spp. and red-ruffed fruitcrow) is protected under CITES; the standard substitute is hot-orange-dyed swan, hen breast, or specific pre-made "Indian crow substitute" feather sets sold by salmon-fly suppliers.
