Black Head Lacquer
OtherDescription
Pigmented black head cement used to build the smooth black head on classic salmon flies and traditional wets. Cellulose-based lacquer is the traditional choice; modern UV-cured resins are an option but lack the deep softness of well-applied lacquer. Two or three thin coats give the gloss of a properly finished classic — never one thick coat, which crazes as it cures.
